About the Summit:

Launched in 2019, the Africa Association Summit is an annual congregation of African and international not-for-profit executives drawn from professional and trade Associations, Civil Society Organizations, the Travel and Tourism industry, the Events industry, Industry suppliers, Government agencies and Pan African organizations such as Africa Union among other stakeholders.

The Summit is a multi-stakeholder event that enables participants to learn, share and exchange knowledge and information about Associations while at the same time offering them opportunities to network and connect.

Summit Theme:

This year's Summit theme is "Power of Associations: Connect. Collaborate. Change Africa.

The main aim of this year's summit is to rally African associations towards leveraging their convening power to create sustainable socio-economic transformation on the continent in a post-covid-19 pandemic world. The summit will seek to build on the outcomes of the 2021 summit that explored the new emerging opportunities for African Associations in areas such as the African Free Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA), Open Skies, and Africa Agenda 2063 among others.

In addition, the Summit will run capacity-building educational workshops facilitated by experienced practitioners in an effort to equip Association executives with the latest information on trends and practices in their respective areas of work.

Significant efforts have been made by both the public and the private sector toward transforming Africa’s socioeconomic status. Nevertheless, these efforts have been slow in delivering real and tangible benefits to the targeted communities. Blueprints such as the Africa Union’s Agenda 2063, and the Africa Development Bank’s High 5 Agenda, among others, seek to catalyze Africa’s dream of an economically transformed continent delivering basic services to its communities. Trade, Agriculture, Education, Peace, and Security are just but key drivers of this transformation.

What role are relevant African Association playing in realising these goals.?
